Huntingdon Town Crier (defunct)

The Huntingdon Town Crier was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Huntingdon and the central and northern parts of the former county of Huntingdonshire (now a district within Cambridgeshire), including the towns of Godmanchester, Brampton and Ramsey.

It was published by Milton Keynes-based Premier Newspapers Ltd, a division of the UK-wide regional newspaper publishing group Johnston Press. The editorial offices were in St Neots.

It was one of a series of Town Crier titles for Huntingdonshire; the other two were the St Neots Town Crier and the St Ives Town Crier. It was established in 1993; prior to that, it had been part of a common St Ives & Huntingdon edition.

It came out on Thursdays.

Upon Iliffe News & Media‘s acquisition of the Town Crier series from Johnston Press in January 2009 it was merged with the Huntingdon Weekly News, the St Ives Town Crier and the St Ives Weekly News to form the Huntingdon & St Ives News & Crier. The Town Crier series’s huntingdontoday.co.uk website was withdrawn from service.
