Glossop Advertiser

The Glossop Advertiser is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Glossop and the High Peak area in northern Derbyshire, including Dinting Vale, Gamesley, Hadfield and Simmondley.

It was founded in 1996. It’s published by Greater Manchester Weekly Newspapers, part of the MEN Media group, which itself was taken over from the Guardian Media Group by Trinity Mirror in March 2010. The editorial offices were in Ashton but were centralised with MEN Media’s other titles in May 2010, first in their central Manchester offices and then in Chadderton on the outskirts of Oldham from September 2010.

Its web presence was formerly through a sub-site on MEN Media’s website, but is now through a set of pages on the Manchester Evening News‘s site since a reorganisation of MEN’s online portfolio in January 2013.

It comes out on Thursdays.
