Hinckley Herald & Journal (defunct)

The Hinckley Herald & Journal (or, more formally, the Hinckley Herald & Classified Journal) was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to households across the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth in south-west Leicestershire, including the towns of Earl Shilton, Barwell and Burbage.

It was founded in 1985 as the Hinckley & Bosworth Trader. After spending three years from 1990 as the Hinckley & Bosworth Herald & Post, it settled on its final title in 1993.

It was published by Coventry Newspapers Ltd, a division of the nationwide Trinity Mirror group of newspaper publishers. The editorial offices were in Hinckley and were shared with its paid-for companion weekly tabloid, the Hinckley Times, whose website it also shared.

It came out on Wednesdays. It ceased publication in late 2011.
