Crewe Guardian
It’s published by Newsquest (North West), who are based in Warrington. The editorial offices are in Northwich.
It was founded in 1987 as the Crewe & Nantwich Guardian. The title was split into a two-edition series in 1995: the main Crewe Guardian for most of the circulation area, and a separate edition for Nantwich called the Nantwich Guardian. From 1993 to 2008 there was also a third title, the Congleton Guardian, which was latterly incorporated into the series; but that ceased publication on 24 December 2008, and the two other editions were merged once more. Sandbach was added to the masthead in August 2011, but both it and Nantwich were dropped from the title in November 2012.
It comes out on Thursdays. A free e-edition is also available on the website.
