Fleetwood Weekly News
The Fleetwood Weekly News is a tabloid newspaper sold in the Lancashire port of Fleetwood and nearby towns in North Fylde, including Poulton-le-Fylde, Thornton and Cleveleys.
It was founded in 1984. From 2000 to 2007 it was entitled the Fleetwood Weekly News and Chronicle.
It’s published by Blackpool Gazette & Herald Ltd (part of the Johnston Press group of regional newspaper publishers) and is a companion to their daily title sold across the whole of the Fylde peninsula, The Gazette. The editorial offices are in Fleetwood, although the News no longer has its own editor; Johnston merged the editorship of the News with that of the Lytham St Annes Express some time ago, and both jobs were merged into the editorship of The Gazette in May 2012.
It comes out on Wednesdays.
