Irvine Times
The Irvine Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the towns of Irvine and Kilwinning and the surrounding villages in southern North Ayrshire.
It was founded in 1873 as the Irvine and Fullarton Times, but adopted its present shorter title in 1968.
It’s published by Ayrshire Weekly Press, a branch of the Dunfermline-based Romanes Media Group (formerly Clyde & Forth Media). Its editorial offices were in Irvine but, like the rest of Ayrshire Weekly Press’s titles, are now in their Ardrossan headquarters.
In common with Romanes’s other newspapers, the Times‘s website underwent a facelift in 2013. Although content remains free, users of the site are asked to take part in consumer surveys run by Google (answering two questions per month) before being allowed to access it.
It comes out on Wednesdays.
