Gravesend Express (defunct)

The Gravesend Express was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Gravesend and other communities within the Borough of Gravesham in north-western Kent.

It was founded in January 2001. It was published by the Archant media group’s Archant London division through their Kentish Times Newspapers subsidiary, and was a companion to their then paid-for weekly newspaper the Gravesend Reporter, whose editorial offices (in Gravesend) it shared.

In September 2008 Archant made the Reporter a part-paid, part free title and incorporated the Express into it. The Reporter‘s contact details, but not its masthead, continued to bear the words “incorporating Gravesend Express” for some time afterwards.

The web address now redirects to the Reporter‘s website.
