Barnoldswick & Earby Times

The Barnoldswick & Earby Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the towns of Barnoldswick and Earby in the Borough of Pendle in East Lancashire and the nearby villages, including Bracewell, Brogden, Kelbrook, Salterforth and Sough in Pendle as well as Thornton-in-Craven across the county boundary in North Yorkshire. (Before 1974 Barnoldswick, Earby and Thornton were all in the West Riding of Yorkshire.)

It was founded in 1937. It’s published by East Lancashire Newspapers, part of the Johnston Press publishing group’s North West division, and is part of their Leader-Times group including the Nelson Leader and the Colne Times. The group shares a website and editorial offices in Nelson.

An associated freesheet, the Pendle Express, ceased publication in mid-June 2011.

It comes out on Fridays.
