Bridgend Post (defunct)

The Bridgend Post was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in and around the town of Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan in South Wales.

It was established in 1985 as the Bridgend & Ogwr Herald & Post. It was renamed the Bridgend & Ogwr Post in 1994 and then simply The Post from 1995 to 2005.

It was published by Media Wales Ltd, the South Wales branch of nationwide newspaper group Trinity Mirror, from their editorial offices in Cardiff. It had no website of its own; as with all Media Wales’s titles, news for Bridgend appeared (and continues to appear) online through the WalesOnline.co.uk website.

It came out on Thursdays.

It ceased publication in August 2008. The Media Wales announcement of the closure stated that the Glamorgan Gazette would continue to serve advertisers and readers in the area.
