Gazette & Observer (defunct)

The Gazette & Observer (in full, the Ilkley, Wharfedale & Aireborough Gazette & Observer) was a short-lived weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Ilkley in the Metropolitan Borough of the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, and in surrounding towns and villages such as Otley, Guiseley, Yeadon and Skipton.

It was published by Wharfedale Newspapers, a branch of Newsquest (Bradford) Ltd, who publish the Bradford-based evening tabloid the Telegraph & Argus. The editorial offices were in Ilkley.

It was launched in February 2011 as a replacement for two earlier broadsheets, the Ilkley Gazette and the Wharfedale & Airedale Observer. However, it resumed the earlier Ilkley Gazette name just three months after its launch.

It came out on Thursdays.
