West Hull Advertiser (defunct)
The West Hull Advertiser was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the western half of the city of Kingston upon Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
It was founded in 1995 as the West Hull South edition of The Hull Advertiser, but was renamed the West Hull Advertiser in 1999.
It was published by the Mail News & Media group, part of Northcliffe Media, which itself is the regional newspaper publishing division of the Daily Mail & General Trust. It was a companion paper to the Hull Daily Mail and, like other newspapers published by Mail News & Media, shared the thisishullandeastriding.co.uk website, which since early 2011 has been a local portal website to which the newspapers merely contribute news.
It came out on Thursdays.
It merged with the East Hull & Holderness Advertiser at the end of June 2011 to become the Hull Advertiser (now the Hull & East Riding Advertiser).
