All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

The Oxford Times

The Oxford Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the city of Oxford and the county of Oxfordshire, including the towns of Banbury, Bicester, Thame, Abingdon, Didcot, Carterton, Witney and Chipping Norton.

It was founded in 1862 and has kept the same title throughout, although from the 1960s up until at least the 1990s it had several local editions.

It’s now published by Newsquest (Oxfordshire), a division of the Newsquest Media Group. The editorial offices are in Oxford.

It’s a companion to the evening tabloid the Oxford Mail. A weekly freesheet, the Oxford Star, was withdrawn in mid-June 2013.

It’s published on Fridays. Apps are also available for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices.
