Warwick Courier

The Warwick Courier is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the Warwick area in south Warwickshire.

It was launched in 1990 as a sub-edition of the much more widely distributed Leamington Spa Courier, which was founded in 1828 (as the Leamington Spa Courier, and Alcester, Atherstone, Coleshill, Henley-in-Arden, Kineton, Kenilworth, Knowle, Nuneaton, Rugby, Solihull, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick Borough and County Gazette!)

It used to be published by Central Counties Newspapers Ltd, a division of Johnston Press, but Johnston have now shifted that division’s titles into Northamptonshire Newspapers. Johnston have owned the newspaper since 1996, when they bought it (together with another 60 titles) from Emap plc.

It shares editorial staff (based in Leamington) with the Leamington Courier and the Kenilworth Weekly News. There’s also an associated weekly freesheet, the Leamington & Warwick Review.

It comes out on Fridays.
