All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

The Sunday Telegraph

Founded in 1961, The Sunday Telegraph has a similar strongly conservative outlook to its sister newspaper The Daily Telegraph. Likewise, it retains the traditional broadsheet format of the quality press.

In 1989 it briefly became simply the Sunday edition of The Daily Telegraph under Max Hastings’s overall control. Otherwise, like most of the Sunday versions of the national daily press it’s had its own editor and staff.

Along with The Daily Telegraph, in 2005 it became the first of the national titles that had moved to Canary Wharf in the 1980s to move back into central London.

An e-edition’s available by paid subscription. Mobile phone browsers are automatically diverted to a mobile site at the same URL. Apps are also available for iPad, iPhone, Kindle and Android smartphones.

It’s published by the Telegraph Media Group, in a Main and a Foreign edition.

On 27 March 2013 the Telegraph Media Group announced that it was introducing a metered paywall for their newspapers’ website. Registered users would continue to have free access to up to 20 articles per calendar month before being invited to subscribe.
