Kingston Guardian

The Kingston Guardian is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the London Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and its satellite suburbs, including Chessington, New Malden, Surbiton, Tolworth and Worcester Park.

It was launched in 1983 as the Kingston Borough Guardian and kept that title (apart from a brief interruption as the Surrey & Kingston Guardian for one month in 1986) until 2003. It’s published by Newsquest (South London), from editorial offices in Twickenham which are shared with its sister paid-for title, the Surrey Comet.

Although it’s mostly distributed direct to households, a few copies are also available at pickup points, mostly via estate agents.

It comes out on Thursdays. A free e-edition’s also available on the website.
