Market Drayton Advertiser

The Market Drayton Advertiser is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Market Drayton, surrounding parts of north-east Shropshire and neighbouring parts of Staffordshire, including the towns of Audlem, Ternhill and Loggerheads.

It was launched in 1981 as a free-standing title, having been part of the Newport Advertiser (as the Newport & Market Drayton Advertiser) from 1869 to the end of 1980.

The two Advertisers are published by Shropshire Newspapers, part of the Midland News Association group that publishes the Express & Star and Shropshire Star evening newspapers.

The editorial offices are in Market Drayton, although the paper is produced at Shropshire Newspapers’ headquarters at Ketley in Telford.

It comes out on Fridays.
