North Yorkshire Herald & Post (defunct)

The North Yorkshire Herald & Post was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the northern part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, covering a circulation area bounded by Northallerton, Great Smeaton, Crathorne, Great Ayton, Seave Green and Osmotherley.

It was published on Thursdays by the Gazette Media Company, part of Trinity Mirror (North East). It was one of a series of six Herald & Post titles published as local companion titles to the Middlesbrough-based Evening Gazette; it was created by being spun off from the Darlington & North Yorkshire Herald & Post in 2000.

It ceased publication in October 2008. It had no website of its own: its web presence was through the Gazette‘s gazettelive.co.uk website. (The North Yorkshire news pages have now been removed.)
