Huntingdon & St Ives News & Crier

The Huntingdon & St Ives News & Crier is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the northern and central part of the former county of Huntingdonshire in the west of what is now Cambridgeshire. It’s distributed to homes in and around the towns of Huntingdon, St Ives, Brampton, Godmanchester, Ramsey and Somersham.

It’s published by Cambridge Newspapers, a division of Iliffe News & Media, which in turn has been part of the Local World group since the beginning of 2013. The editorial offices are in St Neots; a local office in St Ives had closed by September 2012.

It was founded in January 2009 after Iliffe News & Media bought the Huntingdon Town Crier and the St Ives Town Crier from Johnston Press and merged them with their existing freesheets for the area, the Huntingdon Weekly News and the St Ives Weekly News.

It shares a website in common with the other newspapers in the Cambridge Newspapers stable; each area has its own news pages (the link below is to the home page of the News & Crier series, which also includes the Cambridge News & Crier and the St Neots News & Crier). It can also be read as an e-edition online or received by email; both services are free.

It comes out on Thursdays.
