All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Littlehampton Gazette

The Littlehampton Gazette is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in southern West Sussex around the town of Littlehampton, in an area beween the South Downs and the coast which also takes in the smaller towns of Arundel, Angmering, Rustington, Ferring, East Preston, Clapham, Patching and Climping, extending as far inland as Warningcamp, Amberley and Eartham.

It was founded in 1896. It’s spent two spells under a different title: from 1923 to 1939 it was the Littlehampton Gazette and West Sussex Advertiser, and then between 1977 and 1990 it was renamed the Arun Gazette.

It’s published by Sussex Newspapers (part of the Johnston Press group of regional newspapers) and forms part of their Worthing Herald group. The editorial offices are in the group’s headquarters in Worthing, but the Gazette also has its own local office in Littlehampton.

It comes out on Thursdays.
