Cannock Chronicle
It’s published by Midland News Association and is part of their Chronicle freesheet companion series to their paid evening title, the Express & Star. The editorial offices are in Wolverhampton, but there’s also an office in Cannock.
Until 2012 there were two editions:
- Cannock & Rugeley
- Lichfield
Both started life in 1983 as separate newspapers, the Cannock Trader and the Lichfield and Rugeley Trader, with the word Chronicle substituted for Trader in 1986. The Lichfield edition has now ceased publication, and the masthead now no longer refers to Rugeley, although for a time the letters page continued to invite readers to write to the Cannock & Rugeley Chronicle.
Like the rest of the series, it has no website of its own; the link below is to the Express & Star‘s Cannock news pages.
It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition is also available free on the website.
