Leighton-Linslade Citizen (defunct)
The Leighton-Linslade Citizen was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the twin South Bedfordshire towns of Leighton Buzzard and Linslade and their immediately surrounding area.
It was founded in 1989. It was published by Premier Newspapers, a branch of Johnston Press that’s based in Bletchley in nearby Milton Keynes. It was a companion paper to the paid-for weekly the Leighton Buzzard Observer, with which it shared editorial offices (in Leighton Buzzard) and a website. (Its own amount of news content was negligible.)
It came out on Thursdays. Archived free e-editions are still available online – the final issue appears to have been published on 5 July 2012.
