North Norfolk News
The North Norfolk News is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the north-eastern quarter of the county of Norfolk, covering the parts of the county around the towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, North Walsham, Aylsham and Stalham.
It’s published by the Archant Norfolk branch of Archant Anglia, a regional division of the Norwich-based Archant media group. The head editorial offices are in Archant’s Norwich headquarters, but there’s also an editorial office in Cromer.
It was first published in 1949. From 1955 to 1978 it was known as the North Norfolk News, the Norfolk Chronicle and Journal.
Since 2004 there have been two editions:
- Cromer, Sheringham and Holt (covering the northern part of the distribution area)
- North Walsham, Aylsham and Stalham (for the southern part)
Both editions come out on Thursdays. An e-edition (the Cromer version) is also available on the website, but is no longer free.
A freesheet companion, the North Norfolk Advertiser, ceased publication in 2008.
