Ealing Leader (defunct)

The Ealing Leader was the lead title in a series of weekly freesheet tabloid newspapers for the London Borough of Ealing in western Greater London, including the suburbs of Northolt, Greenford, Acton and Southall as well as Ealing itself.

It was published by Trinity Mirror Southern’s West London & Bucks Newspapers group from editorial offices in Harrow. The series was launched in 1981 as a companion to the Ealing Gazette series of paid-for weekly tabloids for West London, and shared a common website with it.

There were previously three other titles in the series:

  • Acton & Greenford Leader
  • Northolt Leader
  • Southall Leader

However, these were subsequently amalgamated into a single Greenford, Northolt & Southall Leader.

Both came out on Fridays.

The Leader series was incorporated into the Gazette series – which became part-paid, part-freesheet – in late 2011.
