Kingston Informer (defunct)
The Kingston Informer was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Kingston upon Thames on the south-western edge of Greater London, together with its satellite suburbs of Norbiton, Surbiton, Chessington, New Malden, Tolworth and Worcester Park within the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It was also distributed to homes in the Surrey town of Esher and neighbouring Thames Ditton, Long Ditton and Hinchley Wood.
It was founded in 1979. It was published by Teddington-based North Surrey & London Newspapers, a branch of the Trinity Mirror group’s Southern division, and formed part of a series together with the Richmond Informer.
It came out on Thursdays.
Both titles closed at the end of September 2011 in the face of tough economic conditions. The URL below now redirects to the website of the Hounslow Chronicle.
