Pinner Observer

The Pinner Observer is a weekly tabloid newspaper delivered free to homes in the north-western part of the London Borough of Harrow, including the suburbs of Hatch End, Wealdstone and Pinner Green as well as Pinner itself.

It was launched in 1984 as part of the Harrow & Wembley Observer series of weekly tabloids published by Trinity Mirror Southern for north-western Greater London. For its first year of publication it was known as the Pinner & Harrow Observer.

The editorial offices of the series moved from Harrow to Uxbridge in early 2009.

The titles in the Observer series were all paid-for newspapers until October 2010, when the Harrow Leader ceased publication. The Pinner Observer went from being the second-smallest title (by some distance) of a series of four, to the largest in a series of three. However, its circulation’s been cut back in 2012; it’s now just slightly larger than the Wembley Observer, leaving the Harrow Observer well ahead.

All the titles in the series share a common website, with local community mini-sites; the link below is to the Pinner, Hatch End & Wealdstone community pages.

It comes out on Thursdays.
