Ellesmere Port Pioneer

The Ellesmere Port Pioneer is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Ellesmere Port on the south bank of the River Mersey and surrounding villages in the Cheshire West and Chester unitary authority.

It was founded in 1920 and as of August 2013 was the only paid-for newspaper for the town. It’s published by Trinity Mirror Cheshire (part of Trinity Mirror North West & Wales) from editorial offices in Chester, which it shares with the Chester Chronicle.

Since early 2013 its separate website has disappeared; the URL below now redirects to the Chronicle website’s Ellesmere Port pages.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
