Knutsford Guardian

The Knutsford Guardian is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the market town of Knutsford in the unitary authority area of Cheshire East and nearby smaller towns and villages, including Alderley Edge and Holmes Chapel.

It was founded in 1860 as The Knutsford Division Guardian for Knutsford, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, etc. It adopted its present shorter title in 1946.

It’s published by Newsquest (North West) as part of its Mid Cheshire Guardian group, together with the Northwich, Winsford & Middlewich Guardian. The editorial offices are in Northwich.

It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition is also available on the website, although it’s no longer free.
