Longridge News

The Longridge News (in full, the Longridge & Ribble Valley News and Advertiser) is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the Ribble Valley town of Longridge and the neighbouring villages of Chipping, Goosnargh, Grimsargh and Ribchester in northern Lancashire.

It was founded in the 1920s. From 1979 to 1991 it was simply The News; it then became The Longridge News and adopted its present title in 1994.

It’s now published by Lancashire Evening Post Ltd (a branch of the Johnston Press nationwide group of regional and local newspapers) as part of its Courier Group for Garstang and Longridge, together with the Garstang Courier. The shared editorial offices are in Garstang.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
