Petersfield Herald

The Petersfield Herald is a weekly broadsheet newspaper sold in the town of Petersfield in the South Downs and nearby villages in eastern Hampshire.

It was launched in 1976 by Farnham Castle Newspapers Ltd, a branch of the Tindle Newspapers group owned by Sir Ray Tindle. It’s one of a series of weekly broadsheets for the Surrey-Hampshire boundary area, headed up by the Farnham Herald. Its offices are in Petersfield High Street.

In the summer of 2013 Tindle Newspapers acquired the Herald‘s rival, the Petersfield Post. Both titles remain in print under separate management.

The Herald comes out on Fridays. An e-edition’s available on the website by paid subscription (from a single issue to a year).
