Cheltenham & Tewkesbury News (defunct)
It was launched in 1981 as the Cheltenham News Shopper, but lost the Shopper in 1984. It absorbed the previously separate Tewkesbury News in 2009, at which point it took on the title given above.
It was published by Gloucestershire Media (formerly Gloucester Newspapers Ltd), part of Northcliffe Media, which was at the time the regional newspaper publishing division of the Daily Mail & General Trust. (Northcliffe’s now part of the new Local World group.) The editoral offices were collocated with those of The Citizen in Gloucester.
It was part of a series together with the Gloucester News.
It had no website of its own; its web presence was through the thisisgloucestershire.co.uk website shared by all Northcliffe titles for Gloucestershire, which from 2011 was a general portal site rather than the newspapers’ online presence.
It came out on Thursdays.
