Congleton Chronicle
The Congleton Chronicle is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Congleton and the surrounding villages in the unitary authority of Cheshire East.
It’s published by Heads (Congleton) Ltd, an independent publisher founded by Robert Head in 1893, and is the lead edition of a series of Chronicle newspapers together with the Biddulph Chronicle, the Sandbach Chronicle and, since December 2011, the Alsager Chronicle. Remarkably, the series has had only four editors since the company was founded: original founder Robert Head, his son Lionel, John Condliffe – who bought out the company in 1988 – and currently his son Jeremy.
All newspapers in the series share the same website; the link below is to the Congleton news page.
It comes out on Thursdays; a paid e-edition’s also available, as is an iPad/iPhone app.
