Solihull Times (defunct)

The Solihull Times was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull (including Solihull itself and outlying villages such as Balsall Common, Meriden and Marston Green) and neighbouring parts of Birmingham.

It was originally launched in the 1970s as a rival to the other weekly freesheet tabloid for the area, the Solihull News, but the two newspapers came under the same owner in the 1990s (latterly, Trinity Mirror Midlands). The two newspapers shared a website.

It came out on Wednesdays.

In July 2009 Trinity Mirror merged the Times into the News, maintaining the Times branding for the expanded News‘s business section.
