Keighley News

The Keighley News is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Keighley in the Metropolitan Borough of the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, and in its neighbouring towns and villages. Its core distribution area includes the towns of Bingley, Silsden, Wilsden, Denholme, Haworth and Crosshills; its extended distribution area stretches considerably further north than that, beyond Skipton and deep into the Yorkshire Dales as far as Stainforth, Buckden and Lofthouse.

It was founded in 1862 and was a broadsheet until March 2007. From 1919 to 1963 it was the Keighley News and Bingley Chronicle, having absorbed The Bingley Chronicle (which was founded in 1889). The Bingley edition was then split off into the Bingley and Shipley Guardian-Chronicle, later the Bingley Guardian.

It’s published by Newsquest (Bradford) Ltd, a local division of the nationwide Newsquest regional and local newspaper publishing group. It’s a sister paper of the Bradford evening tabloid the Telegraph & Argus. The editorial offices are in Keighley.

It comes out on Thursdays.
