Reporter Extra (defunct)

The Reporter Extra was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Dewsbury and surrounding smaller towns and villages in the north-eastern corner of the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, including Batley, Mirfield, Liversedge, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton and Roberttown.

It was published by The Reporter Ltd, a division of nationwide publishers of regional and local newspapers Johnston Press. The editorial offices were in Dewsbury and collocated with the Extra‘s parent newspaper, the Dewsbury Reporter.

It had no website of its own; the link below is to the Reporter‘s website.

It replaced an earlier title called the Weekly Advertiser.

It came out on Thursdays.

It ceased publication in 2011.
