The Impartial Reporter

The Impartial Reporter (“and Farmers’ Journal“) is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the county of Fermanagh and southern and western parts of Co. Tyrone, as well as bordering areas in the Republic.

It was founded in 1825 and claims to be the oldest-established and best-selling weekly newspaper in Co. Fermanagh, as well as the third-oldest newspaper on the island of Ireland.

It’s published by William Trimble Ltd, a branch of the Dunfermline-based Romanes Media Group (formerly Clyde & Forth Press). The editorial offices are in Enniskillen.

It switched from broadsheet to tabloid format in November 2010.

It comes out on Thursdays. There’s also an associated monthly freesheet tabloid, the Lakeland Extra.
