Mid-Ulster Mail

The Mid-Ulster Mail is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in Cookstown and the county of Tyrone, as well as Magherafelt and southern County Derry.

It was founded in 1891. It’s published by Morton Newspapers, part of Edinburgh-based Johnston Press. Its editorial offices are in Cookstown, although there’s a local sub-office in Magherafelt too.

There are two editions: the main one, and a South Derry edition for Magherafelt. There’s also an associated freesheet, the Mid-Ulster Echo, which shares the Mail‘s website.

It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available by paid subscription.
