Barrhead News

The Barrhead News is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the town of Barrhead in East Renfrewshire, to the south-west of Glasgow, including nearby Neilston and Uplawmoor.

It was founded in 1884 as the Barrhead News and Renfrewshire Telegraph, a title it retained until 1967 when it assumed its present shortened title.

It’s published by Clyde Weekly Press (part of the Dunfermline-based Romanes Media Group, formerly Clyde & Forth Press) and is a sub-edition of the Paisley & Renfrewshire Gazette. Its editorial offices are in Clydebank and are shared with the other CWP titles: the Clydebank Post, the Dumbarton Reporter and the Helensburgh Advertiser.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
