Glamorgan GEM
The Glamorgan GEM is a series of four weekly freesheet tabloid newspapers distributed to households in South Glamorgan, around and including the towns of Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Rhoose, Bridgend, Porthcawl and St Athan.
It was founded in 1983 and is published by Glamorgan GEM Limited, a subsidiary of Tindle Newspapers. The editorial offices are in Cowbridge.
There are four editions:
All four come out on Thursdays, and an e-edition of each is also available online – each has its own website too. A fifth, the Cardiff GEM, had ceased publication by the late 2000s.
